The Xoliswa Matakane (XM) Foundation is a South African non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing sustainable development through education, community empowerment, institutional capacity building, and innovative resource mobilisation.
Established in honour of the late Bishop Xoliswa Matakane, the Foundation was founded on the belief that every individual and every community deserves access to opportunities that enable them to thrive. Our work is driven by a commitment to reducing inequality, strengthening institutions, and creating sustainable pathways for social and economic development.
Operating across South Africa with roots in the Eastern Cape, XM Foundation collaborates with government, higher education institutions, schools, nonprofits, development agencies, and the private sector to design and implement high-impact programmes that deliver measurable and lasting change.
